The reasons for wearing clothing and attires

A fabric is a garment that covers the human body. This is often traced way back from the very traditional origin of man. Clothing is actually the characteristic of homo sapiens. Different societies and cultures are simply identified thru their mode of dressing that means dressing doesn't function as a covering to human body but it also carries other functions and significance.

Some societies only covered the small parts of their body which they considered naked and that completed their dressing. Others wore garments and attires that carried social significance.

Primarily the goal of wearing clothing is its function. This outlines the type and the amount of clothing to be worn. Sometimes garments were worn for protection or for heat though this has developed to more elaborated function and social reasons of wearing clothes.

In traditional times communities that lived in the tropics where temperatures were more accommodative wore clothes that only covered what that community called nakedness. This differed from one community to another while outside the tropics and in cold area, fur and leather clothes were worn to keep them warm on special purposes or functions like war or battle they would make special clothing for protection from physical attacks and injury. Long distance travelers had to cover more parts of their body protecting them from stings bites and injuries, from thorns and other part as they needed to walk through oppressive environments.

Today clothing is categorized into 2 major settings, that is, functional and social settings. In functions, clothing is worn as a protection or a covering from diverse elements. This include physical elements like friction, abrasion particularly when handling the moving parts in machines heat and cold that's temperature changes that may either be mild or acute chemicals which some can be corrosive or dangerous to the body parts and event to unseen elements like radiation. Different clothing is specially engineered to handle different physical scenarios and their levels.

Attire is engineered to protect from toxinsand germs. This is two way in that the clothing protects the infected from further infecting others or from getting infected. Surgery Theater has special attire for that purpose. For social and cultural function attire is worn for individual occupational and sexual differences and social status.

Individual can wear garments to outline their tastes or preferences that are independent of all the other factors. Occupation can outline the kind of clothes worn example uniform for army, aprons for cooks waiters and many others that represent the position function or purpose. Sexual outlines sex based totally on sex either female garments are engineered to fit either or both of this genders because a man and a lady are created structurally different. For social status this outlines the class of the individual either low class in which the value of the material is low or high class where the price and even design represents the status. Religion is also another factor to clothing because different attires represent different levels of worship platforms for example the clergymen worshippers for example. Majority of religions in the world have different dressing codes of worship particularly for the clergyman and leader as the clothing represent levels of holiness and positions in temples, churches, shrines and temples.
