How to keep looking young
Did you know your posture can make you look ten years younger or older than your natural age?
There is indeed a relationship between posture and youth and posture and aged. Consider two individuals standing at a distance with backs turned and both have nicely combed none graying hair, do you know if the aged stand erect with shoulders thrown back and head aligned correctly and the younger person stand crouch over to the front with rounded shoulders you would mistakenly identify the crouches individual as the aged. This is how youth is associated with a straight spine.
The most easily recognized sign of premature aging is the forward bend of the spine accompanied by rounded shoulders. Many premature-aged individuals display this condition which comes from poor posture. Some are psychology orientated if added responsibilities are placed on these individuals. I acted as principal for a few months and I remember the day I saw myself walking in a mirror from a distance, I was so surprised how I was stooping forward and my shoulders were almost round I could not believe this. I straightened my back immediately; correct my posture and made a concerted effort to hold myself upright. No way was I leaving that job at the end of my tenure looking like a premature aged old lady.
I have notice a number of Jamaican school children who are preparing for the G.S.A.T. , this is one of the countries national schools examinations. These children have bent spine, mainly for two reasons are, the number of books they carry on their backs and the psychological load of the Examination.
Many regained their correct posture after the examination but some still retain the bad posture and unless teachers and parent pay attention to this Jamaica will have a number of adults who will look much older than their biological age.
If you are one of those individuals who are advancing in age, the one way to keep looking younger is to always keep and upright posture. There should be a constant effort to resist against pulling your spine forward. The spine is a very, very vital part of the human structure; it protects the spinal cord that carries nerve impulses to the brain. All the other appendages such as muscles and bones are held up by it. Without the spine we would look like octopuses with no bones we would look like jelly fish.
What can we human do in order to keep our spine healthy and our overall body looking and performing younger that our natural age? As we get older we are constantly loosing bone mass and that includes our spine. There is also the danger of our bones becoming calcified and resist against bending.
Diet is one of the ways to correct or slow down aging. A diet with adequate vitamin D, calcium and phosphorous is necessary. We should not forget to include foods with potassium the not recognized wonder nutrient or nutrient of youth. This helps to soften muscles and arteries leaving them pliable and flexible. You may be thinking which are the best potassium foods; well an apple, a banana or 1/2
Tea spoon apple cider vinegar mixed with 8 ounces water and1/2 tea spoon honey taken 1-3 times a day can supply your daily potassium requirements.

Not to leave out the skin. Get rid of dry blotchy skin by using a mixture of equal parts olive oil and apple cider vinegar and use as a lotion all over the body preferable at nights you will see a more radiant youthful skin appearing with constant use. Always drink lots of water to wash out the dead cells inside and outside the body as new one appears from these simple treatments.
Exercise is also important in keeping a youthful look here is a simple exercise given by Patricia Bragg to strengthen spine for a younger youthful look. Stand and tighten the butt. Stretch spine up, suck in the rib cage .Hold back the shoulders and push chest forward but not too far out. Drop the hand to the sides and swing to normalize posture. Line up your nose in line with your belly button. Now walk off. Always remember to walk off on your left leg. Moving off with the right leg will throw your body out of line. Why do you think soldiers march left right, left right think about this. Try walking around your apartment with a book on your head without dropping has fun while your posture and looks improve.
